The Psychiatrist, in conjunction with the Behavioral Health Medical Provider, is responsible for providing diagnosis, treatment and coordination of care to members over 18 years of age. The Psychiatrist must function as a collaborator and team member, both with administration and with clinicians or professionals of other disciplines.
Medical degree with board eligibility/certification in general psychiatry. Three (3) years of post-graduate experience in community psychiatry preferred. Licensed as a physician in the state of Arizona. Board certified or board qualified (eligible) in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or by the American College of Neuropsychiatry (Osteopathic). Must have a current DEA certificate through the Drug Enforcement Agency. Must be able to obtain full fingerprint certification.
