Located in northern New Jersey and very close to Manhattan, a Physician Assistant is needed to work in the Gynecologic Oncology department of a very well regarded community general medical and surgical hospital.
This is a hospital based and hospital employed opportunity.
Board Certified Physician Assistant
Has a New Jersey license
The ideal candidate has at least two years of clinical experience and specialty certification in Oncology and Gyn/Women’s Health.
This very well-regarded medical center has a Medical Director of the Department of Gynecologic Oncology. She is a Board Certified Gynecologic Oncologist who specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and management of ovarian, endometrial, uterine, cervical, vulvar and vaginal cancers.
The new physician assistant will have a combination/mixture of both inpatient and outpatient duties.
The physician assistant’s hours and work schedule will all be discussed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide evaluations, medical treatment, education and counseling for gynecological patients
Participate in daily inpatient rounds
Assist with office-based procedures
Check labs and pathology samples
Take patient histories
Perform pre-op work ups
Prepare discharge summaries and prescriptions
