Located in a growing and progressive small city in Nevada, an excellent pediatric Nurse Practitioner opportunity is available immediately. It is due to community need and expansion/growth.
Desired Qualifications for the Nurse Practitioner candidate: The hospital, who will be employing the new Nurse Practitioner, is seeking:
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
Specializes in Pediatrics
Has work experience
Licensed, or could be licensed, in the State of Nevada.
This person needs to have experience in hospital care for newborns post-delivery, including intubating as necessary.
The successful candidate will also have an outgoing personality, able to independently function alone, possess confidence, and have a strong bedside manner and background.
She or he will be joining a group practice with two pediatricians and will be assigned to work directly with them.
The new pediatric nurse practitioner will work on the campus of their regional hospital.
Hospital: Their Hospital has a Level I nursery. The new Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will be required to attend C-sections, but not deliveries. The hospital’s C-Section rate is about 30%.
It is a traditional inpatient and outpatient employed hospital-based practice Nurse Practitioner opportunity.
With the exception of call, the hours are standard business hours. It will be Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Clinic is located in the main office building adjacent to the hospital.
The Nurse Practitioner candidate would be expected to build a loyal outpatient practice. She or he will be required to provide hospital coverage for newborns and pediatric patients, including intubation and providing newborn care.
Call Schedule: It will be 1:3 – 1:4.
There are currently four pediatricians in the community, and one who will start to work in August of 2015.
Patient Volume: The new pediatrician will see/treat about 20-plus patients per day.
Traditional pediatric work including sick care, well care, urgent care, newborns, delivery, immunizations, laceration repair, and chronic health care.
FINANCIAL COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
As previously stated, this is a hospital employed position.
The starting salary is based on the MGMA median. It will be in the range of $90,000 to $100,000.
