Therapeutic Radiologic Technologist:
- Serves as a therapist in the Radiation Oncology Service providing an advanced level of care to all patient populations. - Performs complex and intricate radiation treatments on patients. - Performs simulations using a conventional simulator as well as a CT (Computerized Tomography) based simulator. - Administers contrast agents intravenously, orally or rectally as needed. - Documents treatment sites with photos, diagrams, and tattoos. - Responsible for the operation of therapeutic equipment and assisting a Radiation Oncologist (physician) in the handling of radioactive sources.
