NURSE CONSULTANT (RISK MANAGEMENT) GS-0610-11:
As a Nurse Consultant (Risk Management), you will: - Be responsible for independently reviewing and analyzing all all quality of care concerns from all sections of the hospital. - Independently determine if further review is required and select or implement the avenue of further review to achieve a definite resolution. - Interpret and incorporate data from a wide variety of sources and quality control processes. - Manage and maintain ongoing status of each case being reviewed within the risk management arena. - Ensure proper preparation for Risk Management meetings with complete follow up of decisions and actions resulting from them. - Collaborate with other subject matter experts in planning, organizing, and conducting training of service, ward, clinical, and support personnel in quality improvement/risk management techniques, criteria development, data retrieval and display, data analysis, preparation of quality improvement/risk management studies, and confidentiality of data used in the Quality Improvement/Risk Management Program. - Work closely with Patient Safety, Credentials, Joint Commission Readiness, Performance Improvement, and others to enhance the quality of care.
