Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant w/ vein harvesting
StartDate: 08/20/2018

Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE is looking for a Physician Assistant for Cardiothoracic Surgery with vein harvesting.Temporary license is available.    PA provider will be working with the sole CT Surgeon onsite.  May have some rounding responsibilities but no clinic responsibilities. Low volume program at this point so only 1-2 CABG per week and 1-2 other cases eg. Pacemaker or thoracic. Provider required ability to do Vein Harvesting.  Will have call responsibilities for emergent CABG but very rare to need.”
M-F clinic and elective surgery schedule, but 24x7 call for ACS verified Level II trauma center.
Provider will work with both inpatient and outpatient.
Provider will be required to back up our interventional cardiologist with surgery, support their referrals for surgery, IP consultation at request of hospitalist, and ED call coverage.
One APRN to support the sole CT surgeon. The PA will do vein harvest.
The PA will do vein harvest. 100 cardiac cases per year probably 30-40 thoracic.
*** Case logs needed for the past 12 months with documentation of 100 cardiothoracic surgical procedures that includes a minimum of 35 open heart procedures as the primary operator. ***
