Family Nurse Practitioner who will also be responsible for providing inpatient Hospitalist Services. Located in the heart of the Arizona White Mountains where hiking, biking, fishing, skiing can be enjoyed. This 25 Bed Critical Access Hospital meets the medical needs of the local communities with full service lab, radiology, cardiopulmonary and surgical services. The Hospital also has a 24 hour emergency room. Our competent team-oriented staff has received awards for outstanding quality of care, assisting our Hospitalists in providing the best possible care to our patients. On-Site Clinic Responsibilities: Establish a community based patient practice to meet the needs of young families as well as an aging population. The Nurse Practitioner will see clinic patients and on days when functioning as a Hospitalist, patients will only be seen in the afternoon.
Hospitalist Responsibilities: Providing care for our inpatient population. Our average daily census is approximately 6 patients of which 2 patients would be considered acute care while the other 4 patients would be of a lower-acuity swing bed status.
Hospitalist on-Call Responsibilities: On-call consists of 7-10 days of call per month functioning as a Hospitalist to be telephonically available to hospital staff. On average, call needs will be minimal. Nursing staff work to minimize calls by grouping questions and concerns as much as possible, using protocols when appropriate, and triaging those that can wait until morning. A Rapid Response Team is available 24/7 for serious concerns or deteriorating patient conditions. Also remote electronic medical system access is available to access test results, enter orders, or document from home minimizing the need to return to the hospital.
