HEADLINE:  Baltimore, MD (suburb): Critical Care Physician Assistant or Critical Care Nurse Practitioner needed for well-established hospital system’s busy CC/Intensivist program. They are willing to train the PA or NP if she or he does not have any Critical Care experience.  Work at modern community hospital that has a 16 bed ICU.  They have about 10 to 12 Intensivists and 8 to 9  Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners system wide. Employed by regional health-care system.  They are offering a strong financial package.
LOCATION:   Baltimore, Maryland  (suburb.  See below regarding information about  the city of Baltimore.)
  • Located in a suburb of Baltimore, Maryland, a Critical Care Physician Assistant or a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner is needed to join a well-established hospital system’s busy CC/Intensivist program.
  • The preferred candidate has Critical Care experience.  However, if she or he does not have any CC experience, they are willing to train.
  • The new CC Physician Assistant or CC Nurse Practitioner will be joining a department consisting of about 10 to 12 Intensivists and 8 to 9 Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners system wide.  
  • She or he will work in the ICU and ICU step-down coverage at a modern community hospital that has a 16-bed closed ICU. 
  • This modern community hospital is part of a well-established health care system that also includes a well-regarded teaching hospital.  It has a 26-bed closed ICU.  Most of this hospital’s specialists have an academic affiliation with a prestigious university.
  • Work schedules:  Ideally, the new candidate will work full-time nights.  However,  they will consider a blend of days and nights.
  • This is a 24/7 operation.  There will be weekend and holiday coverage. 
  • Schedules are made up for two months at a time with some flexibility!
  • Call will be shared.  It will be a mixture of days, nights, and weekends.
  • This hospital system is actively seeking to expand their intensivist program to include nighttime Intensivists as well.
  • This excellent Critical Care Physician Assistant or Critical Care Nurse Practitioner opportunity is due to increased volume and area growth.
