Per Diem / Daily Contracting Radiological Specialties Ultrasound Technologist in Warrenton, VA Per Diem / Daily Contracting Days Summary: The Medical Imaging technologist works under general supervision in performing a variety of diagnostic exams and procedures, according to departmental protocol, as requested by the physician order. Positions the patient, and sets protocol factors with a high degree of competency on the imaging system. Maintains established organizational and department policies, procedures, objectives. Provides care of the highest quality while following mandated safety practices. In the execution of job duties, it is the universal expectation that all tasks are performed with a patient centered focus, while also seeking opportunities to continually improve core processes. Incumbent will be scheduled based on operational need, which may include but is not limited to: holidays, extended shifts, night and/or weekend shifts, standby and/or on-call. This job description is only meant to be a representative summary of the major responsibilities and accountabilities performed by the incumbents of this job. Employees may be directed to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description. Requirements: 1+ years of experience as technologist preferred. Current BLS. Permanent / Full Time Radiological Specialties Ultrasound Technologist in Fredericksburg, VA Permanent / Full Time - High school or GED - ARRT Registered and RDMS or registry eligible This position is accountable to prepare patients and perform routine ultrasound procedures in accordance with physicians orders and the procedure manual. The Ultrasonographer produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with appropriate comparison studies and other exam results or pertinent information to the Radiologist for timely interpretation. Additionally, the Ultrasonographer supports the mission, vision, values, and strategic initiatives of MediCorp Health System and demonstrates a commitment of quality service to our patients and their families, the community, the physicians, and our Associates. Qualifications: 1. RDMS registered or registry-eligible in Ultrasonography. (If registry-eligible at time of hire, must pass registry examination within one year of hire date.) Preferably ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology. 2. Registry in Abdomen/Small Parts, OB/GYN, Vascular, and Neurosonography preferred. 3.
