Is proficient in the ability to perform various special procedures using ultrasound imaging guidance and is proficient at correctly setting gain for pre & post processing levels to obtain optimal ultrasound images. QUALIFICATIONS: Education:Minimum: Completion of an Ultrasound technology program Experience:Minimum: Clinical rotation through the educational program.Preferred: 2+ years experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer License, Certification, Registration:Requires certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Per Diem / Daily Contracting Radiological Specialties Ultrasound Technologist in Allentown, PA Per Diem / Daily Contracting Evenings Operates cardiac ultrasound equipment in order to provide optimal cardiac ultrasound studies according to the Health Care Associates, P.C. protocol. Includes patient scheduling and prioritization, technical ability, documentation, and follow-up. Collaborates with other staff and physicians for optimal patient care. Operates other cardiac equipment as needed. Successful completion of formal education and/or on-the-job training in cardiac ultrasound. Registered/Certified in a recognized national cardiac association. Current Basic Life Support certification. Minimum of one (1) year experience performing 2D, M mode, Doppler, and echocardiography. Experience in Stress Echo mandatory. Thorough knowledge of cardiac ultrasound physics, cardiac anatomy and physiology. Demonstrates eye-hand coordination, mechanical and analytical aptitude. Demonstrates initiative and is able to function independently as well as interdependently. Demonstrates ability to interact and communicate effectively with physicians, patients and hospital staff. Ability to transport ultrasound equipment to other office locations. Part Time, Temp, or Per Diem Employment
