Required Registration: Registry in two of the following modalities is required: RDCS or RCS, RDCS- PE or RVT or RT(VS). Required Education: Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited cardiovascular technology program or equivalent. Required Experience: Previous work experience in two cardiovascular ultrasound modalities. Equipment/ Procedures: Perform and evaluate sonographic examinations and physiologic vascular testing according to the guidelines. Assist with other noninvasive cardiovascular testing. Work hours are primarily weekdays, day shift. Occasionally, hours may be required to assure coverage, Call and continued operations.

They will rotate on Call if you want the extra hours.
1. Certifications: ARDMS is required for this position, if candidate is does not have their ARDMS registry they will be required to get it with in the first 12 months of employment. You must also have a current and valid BLS.
2. Licensure: N/A, no additional state license required,
3. Experience: The client would like to see a minimum of two years of hospital based general ultrasound experience, however, they will look at any candidate that has at least 6 months to one year of hospital based ultrasound experience. If candidate has worked in clinic setting they do require two years of experience.
4. Equipment/Procedures: Would like a candidate that is familiar with Acuson and ATL equipment. Primary exams are AB pelvic, OB, small parts, renal doppler, limited vascular work, and breast exams. Hospital has separate echo and vascular lab.
5. Environment: Will be working in main Radiology department. You will be one of seven Sonographers, but will be working primarily alone. You will have a Call tech available in the event case load becomes too heavy. Most exams will consist of Inpatient adult center, Emergency Room, and scheduled outpatients. No pediatric exams will be performed. Department averages 20 to 30 exams per day during the week; weekend volumes can and will vary based on Emergency Room demand.
