Hospital in Western MA is looking for a qualified RN to help on a 13 week contract in their ER. Nurse would need to have or acquire MA licensure, have current BLS and at least 1 year OR experience. Nurse must also have the ability to function in emergency and stressful environment, take O.R. call (presence requested within 20 minutes of call) and have knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures. Essential job functions include circulating in O.R. for all types of surgical procedures including direction control and documentation during all phases of operative procedures.
Scrubs on all types of surgical procedures and functions independently in on-call situations, after hours, weekends, and holidays.Demonstrates proficiency in the following skills: general surgery, orthopedic surgery, ENT surgery, oral surgery, opth surgery, gyn surgery, lasar surgery, thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, pacemaker insertion, trauma procedures and C sections
Nurse must also demonstrate knowledge/skill to function/care for all patient age groups.
