Per Diem / Daily Contracting Rehabilitation Specialties Speech Pathologist (SLP) in Providence, RI Per Diem / Daily Contracting - Experience required - Hours to be discussed SUMMARY: Provides Speech Language Pathology services to patients of all ages including adolescents, adults and geriatric patients who are referred; Evaluates disorders of speech, articulation, fluency, voice, language, oral pharyngeal function or cognitive communicative function of the patient; Develops goals and treatment plan in conjunction with the patient and family/significant other; Executes treatment program; Provides education to patients, families and caregivers; Supervises Speech Language Pathology students and support staff in compliance with hospital and state regulatory policies. Education: Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from a Speech Language Pathology program accredited by the American Speech and Hearing Association; Passing score on ASHA national exam; Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association, Clinical Fellows considered. Licensure: License and/or eligible for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist from the Department of Health, Division of Professional Regulation, State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. Access to reliable transportation in order to service off site locations. Experience: New graduate considered. One year experience preferred. Physical Requirements: This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., pushing and pulling up to 100 lbs., and requires frequent standing, walking, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Good visual and auditory acuity as well as good manual dexterity requires Part Time, Temp, or Per Diem Employment
