Per Diem / Daily Contracting Rehabilitation Specialties Speech Pathologist (SLP) in West Concord, MA Per Diem / Daily Contracting Days Evaluation and treatment of pediatric speech and language problems in outpatient setting. Job Summary (to include reporting relationship): Reporting to the Senior Speech Pathologist and department coordinators, the Staff Speech Pathologist is responsible to the patient and family or significant others for the quality of direct and indirect care delivered. Job Functions: Provides thorough age appropriate evaluations of persons with communication and swallowing disorders to correctly identify problems, to develop adequate Rx plans, and to identify appropriate goals. Provides age appropriate treatment methods to achieve goals, reassesses progress at regular intervals, revises plan as needed, and teaches patient/family/ect. as needed. Obtains necessary information from and provides consultation to other professionals as needed. Communicates patient information effectively in reports, conferences and meetings. Maintains patient records in a legible, accurate and timely manner, including all necessary medical and insurance forms. Maintains professional relations with supervisors as well as co-workers and on-call staff, which fosters good work habits, attitudes and performance. Identifies appropriate indicators to evaluate the quality of speech therapy, assesses results and ensures follow-through with any recommendations. Stays current in the field and promotes continuing clinical development for self and staff. Provides lectures, etc. to medical staff as well as community groups or agencies as needed. Maintains productivity according to department standards and makes good use of free time. Attends any needed staff meetings or inservices, utilizing the resources available; keeps informed of the Rehab. Dept. activity via attendance at staff meetings or reviewing the minutes and discussions with the manager. Maintains liaison with other departments, as well as outside facilities for the purpose of patient continuity and public relations. Maintains current CPR certification. Completes required CEUs to maintain state licensure and ASHA certification. Other duties as assigned from time to time. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Masters Degree in Speech Pathology Experience: One or more years previous experience as a Speech Pathologist. Licensure and Certification: Current licensure to practice speech therapy in Massachusetts. C.C.C. by the American Speech, Hearing & Language Association. CPR certification - Basic Cardiac Life Support. Part Time, Temp, or Per Diem Employment

May be required to provide coverage assistance at other locations. Masters in Speech Language Pathology, licensed in Massachusetts as SLP. Certified by ASHA, CPR Certified. 1-3 years acute care/adult experience. Additional Info: Regular Full Time Employment
