Per Diem / Daily Contracting Rehabilitation Specialties Speech Pathologist (SLP) in Boulder, CO Per Diem / Daily Contracting Masters degree required Certification required One year experience is required Position Summary Assumes responsibility and accountability for providing quality care to patients with disorders affecting language, speech, cognition and/or swallowing functions. Speech/language therapy services include the following: assessment of patient level of function/needs assessment, development of treatment programs, provision of treatment and education of the patient, family and caregivers as related to language, speech, cognition and/or swallowing functions. Diagnostic and treatment services must adhere to the ASHA Code of Ethics and the Standards of Care of this institution. Must promote interdepartmental and intradepartmental teamwork, establish and maintain effective communication with patients, families and rehabilitation team members and work professionally with physicians and the community. Responsible for maintaining departmental standards for productivity. Qualifications Education or Formal Training Masters Degree in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited training program. Special Qualifications Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) or CCC-eligible Knowledge, Skill and Ability Knowledge of computers for patient management, word processing and data collection. Specific experience/expertise in swallowing assessment and treatment. Familiarity with instrumentation used for acoustic and perceptual analysis of aspects of communication. Knowledge of principles of test administration, scoring and interpretation. Experience A minimum of one year of experience in speech-language pathology within the hospital environment with primary emphasis on adult-acquired neurogenic disorders of communication, cognition and swallowing. Experience in an inpatient rehabilitation environment with an interdisciplinary team is preferred. Part Time, Temp, or Per Diem Employment
