Permanent / Full Time Allied Respiratory Therapy Technician in Petoskey, MI Permanent / Full Time Days Administers prescribed doses of medical gases and aerosolized drugs to patients suffering acute and chronic respiratory problems. In doing so, sets up equipment, attaches equipment to patients and uses oxygen and oxygen mixtures in administering treatments according to established treatment modalities. Education: High School graduate or G.E.D. and Certified in CPR Experience: Previous experience desired. Basic technical training a plus and position may require up to 4-8 weeks of on the job training Other Job Requirements: Ability to communicate, explaining clinical/technical diagnostic procedures, mental concentration, mathematical comprehension, problem solving, ability to assist lifting, helping patients off/on stretchers or wheelchairs, escorting and supporting patients, stooping and bending, good vision, good hearing, sense of touch, high level of short-term memory, ability to record pertinent information in patients charts, and/or relay patient's needs to appropriate personnel. Pursuant to Michigan Public Acts 27, 28 and 29 of 2006, this job position requires a fingerprint background check completed through Human Resources at Northern Michigan Hospital.
