Per Diem / Daily Contracting Allied Clinical / Medical / Research in Scottsdale, AZ Per Diem / Daily Contracting Days The successful candidate will be the primary contact with the study sponsor and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of project activities and resources, data management staff training and overall clinical data and protocol management for the conduct of therapeutic clinical trials at Scottsdale Clinical Research Institute located at the Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center. Additionally this candidate will be responsible for the integration of research material for submission to the IRB (Institutional Review Board) to comply with current applicable federal, state, and local standards and regulations; the Food and Drug Administration's interpretation of those regulations; and Scottsdale Healthcare's research procedures. Basic Education Bachelors Degree in health science or 8 years health science-related experience. Basic Experience Five years of progressively responsible clinical or data management experience, preferably including project management and staff supervision, with 3 years of data management experience. Basic Field-of-Expertise (if applicable) Effective communication and problem solving skills Excellent interpersonal skills including adaptability, flexibility, professional integrity and confidentiality. We are seeking candidates that will study lipid mediators of fever and hypothermia in systemic inflammation, physiological roles of transient receptor potential channels, and behavioral thermoregulation in rats and mice. Candidates must have a background in systems physiology, molecular biology, or immunohistochemistry/neuroanatomy is preferred, but the ability to think and work independently, dedication to work, and persistence in the face of failure are more important than the area of specialization. Mandatory requirements include an advanced degree (MD, PhD, or an equivalent), a track record of peer-reviewed publications, excellent computer skills, and good writing skills. Research leading to Doctoral degree; excellent math skills with minimum knowledge of college level algebra; ability to conceive new/innovative ideas or solutions with good logic and problem solving skills; ability to communicate, write, advise and counsel on extremely complex and technical matters; knowledge of operating required lab equipment and minor surgical procedures as required.
