Per Diem / Daily Contracting RN Behavior Medicine in Redwood City, CA Per Diem / Daily Contracting Rotating JOB SUMMARY: In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Catholic Healthcare West, the Staff Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients receiving inpatient psychiatric care. This position effectively interacts with patients, significant others, families and healthcare team members in order to established effective interpersonal interactions while maintaining standards of professional nursing. The position applies CHW core values to the performance of every job duty. These Values include Dignity, Collaboration, Justice, Stewardship, and Excellence. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited program of professional nursing preferred. Bachelors of Science in Nursing is preferred. One (1) year of previous clinical experience within the past three (3) years in an acute inpatient psychiatric or dual diagnosis unit. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/TRAINING: Current California licensure as a Registered Nurse. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers. Current certification in CRT (Crisis Response Training) is required within three months of hire or transfer. This position is represented by CNA and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Minimum one year recent acute adult inpatient psychiatric experience required. Part Time, Temp, or Per Diem Employment
