We currently have an opportunity for a PRN NURSE PRACTITIONER/PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT to join our Team in Dallas, TX!

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant state practice rules and regulations, including physician involvement as required for all aspects of practice
  • Conducts physical exams as appropriate, using evidence based practice and policies, procedures and guidelines, with the emphasis on appropriate treatment, return to work, and presenteeism .
  • Assessment and treatment of acute and urgent injuries and illnesses
  • Assessment and treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses
  • Refers to external providers as needed
  • Facilitates early reporting of occupational illness or injuries
  • Collaborates with Infection and Communicable Disease Department in the management of infection control and medical surveillance of tuberculosis monitoring, needle stick injury tracking and monitoring, and outbreak exposure investigation, reporting
  • Provides workstation ergonomic evaluations providing recommendations for improvements, with follow-up evaluations after improvements are implemented
  • Participates and supports health and wellness initiatives, health education and screening programs
  • Provide utilization and participation clinic data
  • Masters degree, certification as a nurse practitioner with an adult population focus.
  • Three to five years clinical experience in acute care, ambulatory, or emergency care.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in occupational health/corporate health/urgent care nursing preferred
  • Experience utilizing electronic medical records or databases
  • Current CPR or BLS certification required

    Family Practice Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant needed for weekend work. Community outreach program needs a PA/NP to assist in their free health screens on Saturdays and Sundays. Dates available in Corpus Christi and Brownsville/Harlingen/McAllen for various dates in April, May, October, November and December.     Physician Assistants needed in two great Dallas ar: Enterprise Medical Service

    Position Summary:

    To support the supervising physician in providing optimal patient care while functioning within their scope of practice. Spine or ORS experience preferred.

    Responsibilities:

    To act on behalf of the supervising physician by performing the following:

    Evaluate new, follow-up and post-operative patients by obtaining accurate histories, performing appropriate physical examination and ordering appropriate and clinically indicated diagnostic studies. Diagnose and treat patients accordingly with the use of medications, injections, physical therapy and chiropractic care. Interpret imaging and study results confidently and accurately. Counsel and educate patients regarding medical conditions, diagnostics and treatment options. Prescribe medically necessary medications to patients in accordance with state guidelines. Facilitate information and communication between the patient and clinical staff/physician when necessary. Respond to patient messages and inquiries in a timely manner. Surgical assist in OR and round on inpatients post-operatively according to PA-Physician agreement. Maintain CME and licensure requirements. Maintain BLS Certification and possibly ACLS.

    Qualifications:

    Graduation of an Accredited Physician Assistant Program. Texas State Licensure. NCCPA Certification. Spine experience preferred

Ethics/Integrity with regard to patient care and professional work relationships. Communication with the supervising physician, clinical and administrative staff, patients and patients family members.
