KRC.0509.1602.03 Physician Assistant opportunity available in a 25 bed critical access hospital. The clinic, which is located behind the hospital, is a few years old with state-of-the-art equipment. Call is 1:4. Current staff includes two physicians, and a physician assistant. Hospital services include acute care, ER, minor surgery, OB, EECP, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech. Salary range is $75,000-$80,000 and offers a production bonus. Hospital is in a HPSA designated area and participates in the NHSC loan repayment program. Benefits include: four weeks of paid time off (CME and vacation), retirement, life, disability, relocation, CME allowance, and loan repayment. Located in Northwest Kansas, this community is the county seat. The gently rolling countryside around the city offers many opportunities for outdoor recreation. The National Wildlife Refuge and the lake make the area famous for its goose hunting and bird watching. The area also offers opportunities for water skiing, golfing, and fishing. The community is home to wonderful schools that provide a large variety of activities and score high on standardized testing. Two colleges are in nearby communities. The community is the home of a community center that offers concerts and other live entertainment, as well as provides a regional convention facility. Various parades and festivals are held here as well. The community has a diverse economy. In addition to the strong agricultural base, there is manufacturing, including roofing materials and farm vehicles. The railroad, which connects the area to the transcontinental lines, is also headquartered here. KRC.0209.0703.11 Regional Medical Center is seeking additional Physician Assistants to join their team. PA's will work Monday-Friday from 8a-5p. They will be responsible for the walk-in clinic at the family health center from 8a-9a. PA's are on call for the ER from 9a-5p. If the PA's are not busy in the ER they will continue to see patients in the family health center during the course of the day (Mon-Fri). There are no weekends or holiday work typically involved. There is no weekend or evening call unless agreed upon in advance by the PA and management. The positions offers a competitive salary and strong benefits package with paid medical, dental, life, paid time off, and a pension plan. This community was founded in the 1880s and became the county seat. Located in Northwest Kansas. There is a Water Park that offers swimming and water slides during the summer months. KRC.1109.0311.04 Physician Assistant position available for an experienced PA in a well-established and very busy family medicine practice. The schedule is 4.5 days per week. There are currently four family physicians and one mid-level on staff. There is no call coverage for this position. The salary range is $60,000 - $70,000 plus a production bonus with a one-year contract. PA will be treating a full spectrum of adult reconstructive problems and will have the chance to be 1st assist in surgery, assist in physician clinic, have your own clinic, and share call. This position offers competitive base salary with incentive bonus that has consistently put this location's midlevel providers grossing well over 120K annually. This is a hospital owned practice. The admitting hospital is a 69-bed acute care facility with a 51-bed short-term and long-term care facility, home health agency, rural health clinics and specialty physician clinics. Deemed the "Gateway to the High Plains," the area is a rolling plain of green grassland, and beautiful rivers. KRC.0510.1910.10 Physician Assistant needed to assist 3 family physicians, 2 PA's, and 1 ARNP in a provider based rural health clinic and critical access hospital. Full service hospital includes a laboratory, OB, stress testing, cardiac rehab, diagnostic imaging, CT, MRI, EKG, ultrasound, mammography, nuclear medicine, ER, general surgery, comprehensive rehab department, home health, durable medical store, and 14 specialty clinics. Call coverage is 1:4 and the total compensation package is expected to exceed $100,000. The facility is looking to begin construction on a new hospital in Fall 2010. This community is located at the very center of the county in Southwest Kansas. It is also located within driving distance of the states of Oklahoma, Nebraska and Colorado. The community abounds with history - some in the form of fossils from prehistoric times. The first building in Kansas-a pueblo, was erected about the time of Columbus, and an important battle in Kansas between the U.S. Cavalry and Native Americans took place in the county. Camping and recreation vehicle facilities are offered at the State Park which allows visitors to fish, boat, hike, and view the outcroppings of the Ogallala, the storage tank for water on these high plains. Wild game abounds with pheasants, turkeys, jackrabbits, and deer. Native Bison, also known as buffalo, are viewable at the park. Thousands of cattle are also fed in this county. The lush green fields of wheat in spring turn gold for harvest in early summer. Grain sorghum (milo) and corn supply the green for summer. When cool weather arrives, there is the chance for seeing morning mirages where distant farms show up above the horizon, and at night, the beautiful light mirages leap up light on light. This Federally Qualified Healthcare Center with a Family Medicine Residency program current has 5 faculty physicians, 12 family medicine residency physicians, 3 physician assistants, a dentist, a dental hygienist, and support staff. Full services are offered to patients including OB, Laboratory, X-ray, and dental. This is full-time opportunity for 40 hours per week. This position requires that candidates be able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the health care of individuals as part of clinical practice. Candidates will be required to work collaboratively with faculty and resident-physicians to provide direct patient care, and assist coordination and continuity of patient care. This is a great opportunity for an experienced clinician or new graduate. ER coverage will be shared with the other clinic in town. Call time will be 10 days per month with only one being a weekend. There may be some Saturday morning office hours during the weekend of call. The lab and x-ray will be done in the same building. The salary for this position is $90,000; it is negotiable; includes a 1 year contracts.
