Permanent / Full Time Pharmacy Pharmacy Technician in Rochester, NY Permanent / Full Time Days Fulfills patient daily medication carts with the pharmacist verifying for accuracy. Compares doses on hand against doses needed for next 24 hours, and refers discrepancies to pharmacist for resolution. Tracks and monitors charges and doses administered on a daily basis. Restocks Pharmacy Unit Dose Master Cars on a daily basis. Assists with confirming in pharmaceutical orders, verifying invoice/packing slips with pharmacy order and places items into stock. Reviews the expiration data of medication and removes outdated medication. Answers telephone, referring any drug information questions to the pharmacist. Fills replacement medication orders on a daily basis. Assists in checking in pharmaceutical orders, verifying invoice/packing slips with pharmacy order and places items into stock. Restocks Operating Room on a daily basis and documents quantities refilled on the forms provided, as observed by the Central Pharmacist. Requirements High school diploma and one year of pharmacy technician experience. The demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced team environment is required. The qualified candidate will be customer focused, have acute attention to detail and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse populations. **This position requires mandatory rotating weekend scheduling and the ability to work overnights regularly.
