In this role, you will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses and other professionals. Our Meditech Pharmacy also has Pyxis machines, Pyxis Connect and other innovative programs and equipment to maximize your clinical expertise. Qualified candidates will possess a degree in Pharmacy and be licensed to practice in Massachusetts. In addition, you must have a minimum of one year of hospital experience including Unit Dose and IV additive experience. Good computer skills are also required. E.O.E. Per Diem / Daily Contracting Pharmacy Pharmacist in Melrose, MA Per Diem / Daily Contracting The Pharmacist reviews and accurately interprets physicians orders checking for appropriateness of orders as to indication, clarity, accuracy of dose, drug allergy, potential drug interactions and duplication (two or more drugs with the same therapeutic action). Contact physician or nurse when necessary to prevent any problems or potential problems with the order. Document the intervention and outcome. Ensures that medication is accurately prepared and labeled with all necessary and appropriate information. Demonstrates knowledge of Pharmacy Laws, regulations and professional standards by keeping appropriate records. Graduate of accredited school of Pharmacy and MA License required.
