KRC.0507.1313.04 Pharmacist with Kansas licensure needed for 150-bed hospital-based regional health center.

Pharmacist prepares and dispenses drugs, monitors patient drug therapies, and provides drug information. Hospital uses electronic MAR and bed-side verification has been implemented. Currently four pharmacists on-staff. Salary is competitive and negotiable and full benefits offered; including 20 days paid vacation per year, medical, dental, 401a/403b retirement. Northwest: Rural Health Education & Services

KRC.1008.0703.07 Director of Pharmacy position available in a 25-bed critical access hospital. This is a full service hospital including med/surg, acute care, obstetrics/nursery, ER, outpatient, surgery/recovery, diagnostic imaging (xray, flouroscopy, CT, ultrasound, mammography, mobile MRI, mobile nuclear medicine, BMD), laboratory, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, inpatient pharmacy, ambulance, a specialty clinic, and a primary care clinic. In addition to the inpatient and outpatient medical services there are two clinics in which services are provided by local physicians as well as visiting consultant-specialists. This medical center is a cancer satellite clinic with the KU Medical Center and is a member of the Midwest Cancer Alliance.

This position will supervise the department that currently has two pharmacy techs. There is a retail pharmacists also in the community. The director of pharmacy will have limited exposure to call due to the Omnicell dispensing system.

Experienced hospital pharmacists preferred, but new graduates will be considered. Kansas state licensure required. The salary range is $98,000 to $110,000 depending on experience. They prefer a three year contract. Benefits include: family health, dental insurance, partial payment of disability insurance, life insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, relocation, CME allowance, and loan repayment. This community was founded in the 1880s and became the county seat. Located in Northwest Kansas, this community is within driving distance of the Colorado border. There is a Water Park that offers swimming and water slides during the summer months. There is also a public library, museum, and an Arts Center. The local airport is able to land business jet aircraft, has a total service repair and fuel facility, and a licensed charter service. There are 3 elementary schools (K-6), one junior high (7-8), one high school (9-12), and also a Technical College. The Golf Club offers the only 18-hole golf course in the area. For the hunting enthusiast, the county offers hunting for pheasants, buffalo, prairie dogs, deer, and antelope.
