Per Diem / Daily Contracting RN Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Crosby, MN Per Diem / Daily Contracting Days - Current MN RN License - ACLS Responsible for the Medical/Surgical, pre anesthesia and post anesthesia nursing care of pediatric, adult and geriatric surgical patients. Delivery of limited intraoperative nursing care is also an expectation. OP/PACU RNs deliver care through the use of the nursing process in a manner that is cost effective without compromising quality of care. Expected practice behaviors include assessment, planning, implementation of OP/PACU and limited OR nursing interventions and evaluation of those interventions. Performs complex pre-operative teaching, pre-operative holding area duties, performs direct and indirect OP/PACU nursing tasks, performs selected duties in the operating room and endoscopy, performs Step 1 and Step 2 post anesthesia nursing care. The primary foci of this position are pre anesthesia, Step 1 PACU, Step 2 PACU, endoscopy, and monitoring local cases. They assist in leading the nursing team toward the achievement of the goals of the CRMC. Requires current MN RN license, current CPR, ACLS and BLS certification. One year experience in critical care or PACU nursing required. Previous OP/PACU experience strongly preferred. Previous 2-3 years experience in direct patient care (ER, ICU, Med/Surg) strongly preferred. General computer skills in EMR, Word, Outlook and/or similar applications required.
