Per Diem / Daily Contracting Allied EMT / Paramedic in Edmonds, WA Per Diem / Daily Contracting - High School Diploma or Equivalent Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) Required - Previous experience required. Pattern schedule, no rotation of shifts. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Emergency Department Technician provides assistance in the safe and effective nursing care of patients in a variety of age groups which may include neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Qualifications include High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a recognized program to obtain a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification in the State of Washington or military training in the field of EMS. Experience: Recent experience in an Emergency Department or Emergency Medical Technician preferred. License/Certification: Valid Washington State Registration as a Nurse Assistant required with possession of a Basic Life Support certification or the ability to obtain certification within the orientation program. Skills: Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of basic patient care techniques and procedures in the care of patient in a variety of age groups, which may include neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Working knowledge of computer systems. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with patients, families, staff and medical professionals. Part Time, Temp, or Per Diem Employment
