Permanent / Full Time Allied EMT / Paramedic in Flemington borough, NJ Permanent / Full Time - Related course work is required - Certification Required JOB SUMMARYTo provide the highest quality advanced life support care wherever the emergent situation arises. To be cognizant of our role as an ambassador of Hunterdon Medical Center through service excellence, customer satisfaction and the belief in the HMCs philosophical commitment and mission.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESProvide advanced life support to the designated region granted by the Certificate of Need Program representing HMC MICU. Work in conjunction with basic life support units (commercial and volunteer) who also serve this region. Take report from previous shift, visually inspect & count narcs and QC glucometer, inspect and check vehicle, equipment and stock, wash vehicle PRN, QA charts from previous shift, address any charting deficiencies, change and label tapes accordingly, complete Patient Care Reports before shift has concluded, provide change of shift report.MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma or EquivalentCertificate and/or Advanced Specialized or Technical Training in ParamedicineMINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED2-3 years of Basic Life Support preferred2-3 years of Advanced Life Support preferredREQUIRED LICENSE, REGISTRY OR CERTIFICATION1. NJ Certified Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic, or NJ Licensed Registered Nurse with NJ Certified EMT-B.2. Valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certified. 3. Valid American Heart Association ACLS Certified4. Valid drivers license with good record and history5. High School Education or GED6. Experience with BLS systemSPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES REQUIREDExcellent interpersonal communication skills in daily and stressful situations. Ability to identify problems and resolve them using a systems approach. Computer literate, skilled in customer service.DESIRED OR PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIYPreferred certifications in intravenous therapy, intra-osseous, chest decompression, pacing and intubation and CPAP.
