Serves food, feeds residents and collects trays when necessary. Maintains clean and dry bed, changes bed linen, gathers and deposits soiled laundry. Lifts residents in and out of beds and wheelchair, positions residents when necessary. Observes residents to report physical and behavioral symptoms to medical personnel in charge. Takes and records resident's blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration and weight. Regular Full Time Employment

Permanent / Full Time Nurse Practitioner Home Health / Hospice in Richmond, VA Permanent / Full Time Days - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required - 3-5 years experience is preferred JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The Nurse Practitioner in Hospice and Palliative Care provides consultation, utilizing expert knowledge and competencies from a foundation of evidence-based practice. This position will proactively identify opportunities to improve the patient and family experience of coping with and managing pain and symptoms related to advancing disease and progression to end of life. This Nurse Practitioner position will provide leadership in the development of, implementation of, and use of measures that ensure team effectiveness in improving patient quality, service, and efficient resource use. EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS: Possess a Masters Degree in nursing or a related field. Minimum of five years direct patient care experience required. Experience in staff development, education, or precepting nurses and other clinicians. Management and leadership experience required. Practical experience in internal medicine, geriatrics, or oncology preferred (experience appropriate to complex case management with issues of aging). Demonstrates skills in clinical quality improvement and in resource management. Nurse Practitioner license in State of Virginia, graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Prescriptive authority in the State of Virginia (optional). Current BCLS certification. National Hospice & Palliative Care certification preferred Regular Full Time Employment
