Nurse Practioner/CNS - Adult and Adolescent Behavioral Health
Westwood Lodge Hospital located in the greater Boston area is seeking a Nurse Practitioner / Clinical Nurse Specialist for a position with the Adult and Adolescent Partial Hospital Programs. This is a fulltime position Monday thru Friday no weekends and no call.
Working with a dynamic leadership team the scope of practice of the Nurse Practitioner / CNS will include evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients in hospital programs. In particular, the treatments offered consist of insight, cognitive and supportive psychotherapy, behavioral interventions, health teaching, case management, discharge planning, and the prescribing of medication. The CNS will conduct history and physical screenings for patients in the partial program; participate in treatment team meetings; prescribe medication and utilize the nursing process to provide quality patient care to patients. They are responsible for the medication and nursing care plans as needed in conjunction with Program Director and treatment goals.
The Nurse Practitioner/CNS will clinically report to the programs Medical Director a Board Certified Psychiatrist. Candidates will be Masters level with licensure as APRN, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Practitioner or equivalent related licensure.
