1) Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
To provide psychiatric care to patients of maine Medical Center as assigned. In specific, to work in collaboration with and under the supervsion of the psychiatric staff to provide psychiatric assessments, medication prescribing/administration/ monitoring, and therapeutic intervention to the inpatient population of persons who present mental illness and/or substance abuse disorders. Bachelor's degree, in Nursing preferred, Licensed in Maine as Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, 3 years or more experience, At least three years experience working with the severely mentally ill as a Registered Nurse or PMHNP is required. Experience and training in co-occurring mental health and substance abuse concerns is required. Per diem position primarily working weekends. Available immediately.

2) Nurse Practitioner Palliative Care
Serves as a member of the Palliative Care Team, providing consultative and follow-up care upon referral to patients and families. Practices in collaboration with the Palliative Care Medical Director. Coordinates care and services for patients and families across the continuum of care. Acts as a resource to staff and families regarding palliative/end of life care. Promotes palliative care within the organization and the larger community. This is a 40 hour per week position M-F with no weekends or holidays. Master degree -Nurse Practitioner with a Maine license, prescriptive ability in the state of Maine with a current DEA certificate. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in palliativve care, oncology and or hospice. Must have excellent assessment, diagnosis and treatment skills, excellent communication skills and be self directed, motivated, and highly organized.
3) Geriatric Nurse Practitioner or PA maine
Seeking Geriatric Nurse Practitioner 20 hours per week. You will assist the physician in providing geriatric care and program development at both campuses of our Maine system as well as its long-term care facilties. You will also work closely with our Alzheimer program. Experience is strongly preferred but we will consider candidates who have an interest in working with this population. There may be additional hours in our primary care offices if you desire a full time position. Must have a Maine Nurse Practitioner or PA license in good standing.
4) NP or PA - Occupational Medicine, Maine NP or PA to work in outpatient practice providing occupational health/medical services. Previous experience with treating worker's compensation patients and performing DOT exams preferred. Strong clinical skills with assessment of musculoskeletal problems.

Primary responsibilities include study coordination and clinical support to the hepatobiliary and pancreas cancer pateints. Previous research experience helpful. SUMMARY OF POSITION DESCRIPTION: Provides health care to selected patients; scope of practice encompasses the development and recording of a plan for medical and nursing care in collaboration with patient/family, the physician, and in coordination with appropriate other staff and community resources for both chronic and episodic illnesses. Advanced knowledge of nursing theory and practice, and additional specialized medical training, in order to provide expanded nursing practice at a level generally acquired through completion of concentrated study and clinical internship leading to a Master's Degree. 4. Current license and registration to practice as a Registered Nurse as required in the State of Maine. 5. Advanced skill and knowledge in conducting physical examinations and treating patients in expanded practice model with minimal direction at a level generally acquired through two to three years in-depth experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
