Per Diem / Daily Contracting Medical Laboratory Personnel Medical Technologist in Bellevue, WA Per Diem / Daily Contracting Rotating We are looking for either a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) or a Medical Technologist I (MT) for a per diem position. It performs stat and routine clinical tests using automated or semi automated equipment. Evaluates data according to accepted standards of good laboratory practice and uses knowledge of instrument performance and its limitations. Maintains and troubleshoots instruments and equipment and document such according to policies and procedures. Identifies and prepares specimens and performs validation for testing and/or referral to other accredited reference laboratories. Recognizes, confirms, documents and calls all critical and life-threatening lab results stat to physicians and nurses as appropriate. Keeps appropriate records following departmental and organizational protocols that meet agency and other regulatory requirements. MLT requires Associate's degree from a medical lab technician program, else graduation from a 90-credit military program in medical laboratory science. Also requires certification as ASCP MLT, or NCA CLT, or AMT. Minimum of 1 yr experience in a hospital-based lab is preferred. MT requires Bachelor's degree in medical technology, chemistry, or the biological sciences. Also requires certification as ASCP MT within 6 months of hire date. Minimum of 1 yr experience in a hospital-based lab is preferred. Part Time, Temp, or Per Diem Employment
