Permanent / Full Time Medical Laboratory Personnel Medical Technologist in Traverse City, MI Permanent / Full Time Rotating ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Medical Technologist, registered or registry eligible, ASCP or equivalent. Generalist with work experience in hospital clinical laboratory is desired. SPECIFIC DUTIES Required to analyze patient samples through established laboratory procedures and technique. Activities are governed by procedural controls and recommended policy. Interprets priority of work activity in keeping with departmental goals and needs. Must be able to review patient data to correlate with critical values or other physiological states. Specific duties and responsibilities in the following categories: hematology, chemistry, blood bank, microbiology, immunology, radioisotopes. Regular Full Time Employment

Permanent / Full Time Medical Laboratory Personnel Medical Technologist in Saginaw, MI Permanent / Full Time This individual has documented training appropriate for the testing performed prior to analyzing patient specimens. Testing includes waived, moderate complexity; and those high complexity tests authorized by the Laboratory Medical Director. The training insures the skills required for proper specimen collection, handling and processing. The skills required are: implementing of all standard laboratory procedures, proper instrument use, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration, a working knowledge of reagent stability and storage and ability to implement quality control policies. The individual possesses an awareness of the factors that influence test results and the skills required to assess and verify the validity of patient test results before reporting. Education/Licensure/Certification: Bachelor degree in laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited college/university Experience required: One year training under a CAHEA accredited Medical Technology program Consideration may be given by substituting the one-year Medical Technology program with two years of full-time, high complexity laboratory experience Regular Full Time Employment

Special Equipment/Procedures: You will be performing these duties using this equipment: LIS: Ultra Triple G windows based, Chemistry: Dade Dim RXL, Coulter Max M, Coulter ACT T Diff, Coagulation: Dade Sysmax, D Dimers ACL 7000, Urinalysis: Clintek 500, Blood Bank: type, screens, and crossmatching-Immediate Spin and AHG Cross. There is no antibody ID. You will also be working in Microbiology doing set-ups, plating, and gram stains.
