KRC.0209.0101.09 Medical Technologist Manager position available for a 16-bed progressive hospital that takes pride in service and values employees. The hospital has been newly remodeled to include 6 new rooms, a new lab, new x-ray and CT. Hospital services include acute and swing bed, ER, outpatient surgery, physical/aquatic therapy, diagnostic imaging (computerized radiology, CT, ultrasound, MRI, mammography), and obstetrics.
A bachelor's degree in medical technology and certification are required. There is an average of 30 patients treated in the department per day, and there are currently 3 med techs on staff. Med tech manager will oversee all technical procedures, quality control, quality assurance, testing, regulatory compliance, and personnel involved with hematology, chemistry, immunochemistry, coagulation, blood bank, and microbiology. Applicant will perform various chemical serological, microscopic and bacteriological tests to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. This is a full time position that will rotate weekends and share call time with 2-3 other med techs. Salary is $30,000-$40,000. This community is located in the Northwest region of the state. The airport is served by a fixed base operator. Recreational opportunities include a nine-hole golf course, swimming pool, tennis courts, numerous fishing ponds, hiking, camping, boating, and water skiing. Community events include a county fair, home owned and run carnival, and car show.
