Per Diem / Daily Contracting Medical Laboratory Personnel Medical Technologist in Boulder, CO Per Diem / Daily Contracting Position Summary Performs routine and special diagnostic procedures. Serves as general lab supervisor in the absence of an onsite supervisor or manager. May instruct MT and MLT students. Job Qualifications Education or Formal Training 1. The Medical Technologist Level II (MT) laboratorian may have a baccalaureate degree in the clinical laboratory sciences from an accredited college or university; or, 2. A baccalaureate degree in a related science curriculum including prescribed hours and courses in chemistry, biology, and math, and approximately 2000 hours in an accredited clinical (hospital-based) program; or 3. Credentialing as a Medical Technologist Level I (MLT) followed by additional work at an accredited college or university, which culminates in a baccalaureate degree in the clinical laboratory sciences or a related curriculum. The total college courses taken in chemistry, biology, and math must be the same as those required in #1 and #2 above; or 4. Graduation from an accredited school of clinical laboratory sciences (MT, etc.); or 5. Demonstration of equivalent education gained by nontraditional methods and successful completion at a nationally recognized U.S. Department of Education or NCHCA credentialing mechanism. Special Qualifications (licensure, registration, etc.) Credentialing by an agency approved by the U.S. Department of Education or approved by the National Commission for Health Certifying Agencies (NCHCA). Knowledge, Skill and Ability 1. Absolute integrity in the accurate performance and reporting of results. 2. Reasoning ability and good independent judgment. 3. Ability to work under stress - multiple demands at one time. 4. Ability to organize work and meet deadlines. 5. Professional discretion with patient information. 6. Ability to communicate verbal and/or written effectively with other hospital personnel and with patients. 7. Rigid accuracy in the identification and reporting of numbers, names, and results. 8. Willingness to work any shift and/or weekends. Experience Materials and Equipment Directly Used General Lab technical equipment, computers, phones, FAX, autoclave, phlebotomy equipment, copy machines. Part Time, Temp, or Per Diem Employment

4. Environment: You will see 90 patients a day among 12 Therapists and 3 Physicians. There are currently two Dosimetrists with the third and fourth likely to be added soon.
