Permanent / Full Time RN Medical / Surgical in Wenatchee, WA Permanent / Full Time Days REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING: Requirements are the same as the RN requirements. It is preferred that those working in this unit have at least one year acute care experience, are comfortable working on multiple units, exhibit a willingness to expand their skills, and demonstrate a great attitude about floating to multiple units. GENERAL FUNCTION: The Resource Unit RN demonstrates, through performance, a high level of competence, exemplary behavior and conduct, and a consistent willingness to float and be flexible in meeting the needs of CWH patients. Resource unit staff will be expected to function independently with a full patient load on at least 3 core units. Core unit options include Surgical/Orthopedics, Progressive Care, Transitional Care, Medical/Oncology, Mother-Baby (Post-Partum and Nursery), Pediatrics, Critical Care, Emergency, and/or Labor and Delivery. Of the required 3 core units, at least one must be Med/Onc, SOU, PCU, TCU, or PP/Nursery. ORIENTATION:Orientation will be provided based on core unit selection and assessment of the knowledge and previous work experience of each nurse with input from the nurse. SCHEDULING:The Resource Unit nurse will report to the Staffing Office at the beginning of each shift to receive their unit assignment. CROSS-TRAINING:Cross-training needs will be identified by the hospital with input from the Resource Unit nurses. EDUCATION:Education is a key component of the success of this team. Resource Unite RNs will be expected to attend all classes required by their core units as they are made available by CWH and maintain all competencies required by their core units. As opportunities are available, the Resource Unit RNs will be given preference for continuing education. Regular Full Time Employment
