Permanent / Full Time RN Medical / Surgical in Grants Pass, OR Permanent / Full Time Nights - ACLS - BLS - Basic Life Support - Oregon RN license The Charge Nurse facilitates the daily operations of the clinical unit, including the coordination of resources to ensure the delivery of safe and efficient care and is responsible for mentoring, educating, and evaluating staff. This position requires: 2 years current, applicable nursing experience with demonstration of strong critical thinking and clinical skills. Graduation from an accredited RN School of Nursing with current Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by American Heart Association. Skills essential to the position which include efficiency in care; flexibility with priorities and activity; ability to remain calm with heightened activity and handle stress with emotional responses adapted to the needs of patients and staff. Must be able to maintain good interpersonal relationships, adapt to change and demonstrate sound leadership and organizational skills. Participation in unit based or hospital based committees. Demonstrated strong clinical decision making skills and ability to act as role model for customer service. Strong communication skills. Unit specific requirements: ACLS, PALS within one year of hire (Post Surgical Care, Critical Care and PACU) NRP, PALS (Women's Svcs & Charge RN's TRCH) ACLS (MedSurg) ACLS, PALS, TNCC obtained within 18 months of hire (ER) Preferred qualfiications: Experience in leadership or management roles. Charge Nurse experience. Experience in hiring department. Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN). Basic Arrhythmia Course. Regular Full Time Employment
