We are currently seeking Part Time LPN for our onsite occupational health clinic in Akron, OH.

• Having the ability to communicate, teach, perform patient assessments and provide acute care are essential components of these positions.
• These positions require candidates who have had at lease one year experience of Occupational Health or ER/Trauma experience. CPR Certification is required.
• Plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures.

Duties

• Plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures to include collecting and analyzing patient data, making recommendations for nursing care plans, evaluating nursing care given and communicating to proper personnel relevant facts about patients, action taken and patient responses.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physician and employ special nursing care techniques as required; administer intravenous medications and fluids as directed; maintain required records.
• Assist medical in the examination and treatment of patients to include taking vital signs, drawing blood, extracting sutures; change catheters, clean wounds, apply medications and dressings and assist in minor surgical procedures and biopsies utilizing sterile techniques; obtain and record data for medical records.
• Set up, clean and disinfect examination rooms to include changing linen and making beds; set instruments and equipment for specific procedures; hand instruments; supplies and equipment to examining physician.
• Pick up and deliver specimens, equipment, messages, and supplies as directed; maintain inventory of supplies in examination rooms; replenish as required.
• Escort and/or transport patients to examination room and other clinic locations; schedule patient appointments and prepare related records.
• Maintain work area in clean and orderly condition; wash and sterilize a variety of medical supplies, instruments and equipment.
• Assist in the development and implementation of general policies and procedures designed to effect efficiency of operations.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Qualifications

Work requires graduation from an accredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. State license is also required.
