Permanent / Full Time LVN/LPN Emergency Department (ER) in Warner Robins, GA Permanent / Full Time Evenings Provides professional nursing care under supervision for assigned patients according to established standards and practice. Participates as a team member of the clinical interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate resources to all internal/external customers. Responsible for carrying out the mission, vision, values and quality commitment of Houston Healthcare. Graduate of an approved school of practical nursing. One year med/surg experience required. Current licensure by the Georgia State Board of Nursing; current AHA BLS certification. ALCS certification, CPI training ourse completion and Basic Rhythm Strip Interpretation course completion required or obtained within 9 months of employment. Sensory requirements include far acuity (see clearly 20 feet or more); near acuity (see clearly 20 inches or less); accurate depth perception (judge distance and space relationships); field of vision (see peripherally); accommodation (adjust vision to bring objects into focus) and color vision (distinguish and identify different colors). Should also have good hearing acuity (ability to distinguish sounds or tones). Frequent contact with water and other liquid. Requires heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 50 pounds). Prolonged standing and walking required. Assists with lifting and moving patients. Pushes/pulls or moves/lifts heavy equipment/supplies. Requires manual dexterity and mobility. Intermittent exertion when performing treatments. Occasional stooping, reaching, bending, kneeling and crouching. Must be able to function in stressful situations. Requires contact with patients under wide variety of circumstances. Exposed to hazardous agents, body fluids and wastes. Exposed to hazards from electrical/mechanical/power equipment. Exposed to hazards of handling diseased organs and tissues.Exposed to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries and illness). Extreme fluctuations in workloads. Handles absentee replacement on short notice. Handles emergency or crisis situations as well as multiple job duties at one time. May be exposed to infection from disease-bearing specimens, infections and contagious diseases. May be exposed to/occasionally exposed to patient elements. May perform emergency care. Occasionally exposed to radiation hazards. Regularly exposed to the risk of bloodborne diseases. Requires judgment/action which could result inserious consequences. Subject to injury from moving parts of equipment. Subject to many interruptions. Subject to varying and unpredictable situations. Subject to long, irregular hours. Regular Full Time Employment
