This innovative program will start on October 27rh and will include classroom study, 16 weeks with a preceptor and one full year with a mentor. Permanent / Full Time RN Labor and Delivery in Richmond, VA Permanent / Full Time Nights - Nursing Diploma This unit is no longer accepting new graduates. The competent Registered Nurse sets nursing goals and plans which demonstrate a holistic approach to patients/families. Mobilizes resources to meet the individualized needs of patients/families. Assumes leadership responsibilities at the unit level. Demonstrates a mastery of clinical skills One year or more of previous experience in either: Labor & Delivery, ICU (not a stepdown unit) or Emergency Room is required for this position. Qualifications: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia or awaiting reciprocity Must possess the knowledge of clinical, psychosocial, and patho/physiological theories related to nursing diagnosis and treatment and can competently perform the range of nursing techniques found in general nursing practice, as normally acquired through completion of an accredited nursing program. Maintains current CPR certification Must have broad based knowledge of clinical, psychosocial, and patho/physiological theories relating to nursing diagnosis and treatment. Possesses the ability to perform the range of nursing techniques found in general nursing practice including the usual and non-routine. Utilizes teaching skills and understanding of group dynamics. One year or more of previous experience in either: Labor & Delivery, ICU (not a stepdown unit) or Emergency Room is required for this position. This unit is not accepting new graduate nurses for this position. Regular Full Time Employment
