Per Diem / Daily Contracting RN Labor and Delivery in Bridgeport, CT Per Diem / Daily Contracting Days The Staff Nurse provides care to women from adolescent through adulthood (including advanced age), and newborns. She demonstrates knowledge and skills necesary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient, using the nursing process, which includes assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care. She provides direction to ancillary staff in accordance with the Division of Patient Care Services philosophy, policies, procedures and protocols of the Maternal Newborn Nursing Service, and the Departments of Obstetrics and Pediatrics. All Staff Nurses in the Family Birthing Center will maintain a minimum of two basic perinatal/neonatal and/or postoperative nursing skills, enabling them to provide completent care to either a.) high risk antepartum, high risk intrapartum (including circulating and scrubbing) and postpartum, mother/baby and postoperative care or b.) normal and high risk newborn patients and postpartum, mother/baby and postoperative care Part Time, Temp, or Per Diem Employment
