Permanent / Full Time RN Dialysis in Fairfax, VA Permanent / Full Time The Staff Nurse performs patient care and related duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse or Unit Administrator, including assisting and supervising Licensed Practical Nurses and Dialysis Technicians. Qualifications: 1.Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. 2.Current licensure as an R.N. by the state in which the dialysis facility is located. 3.Satisfactory professional references. 4.Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing. 5.Physically able to lift patients from stretcher or wheelchair or assist patients from stretcher or wheelchair as necessary. Able to lift at least 30 pounds from floor level using proper body mechanics, and be capable of carrying two thirty-pound containers of concentrate solution. Additionally, must be able to stand for periods of up to 4 hours, during the dialysis process, normal breaks excluded. 6.Current CPR Certification. Duties and Responsibilities: 1.Prepare the dialyzer and delivery system for use as prescribed; monitor all equipment in use for correct functioning; and perform appropriate terminal cleaning following each treatment. 2.Assess assigned patients before and after each treatment. Initiate, monitor, and terminate dialysis treatment. Develop the plan of nursing care for each treatment and alter the dialysis management, as needed based on standing and current physician's orders. Notify the Charge Nurse and physician regarding changes in the patient's condition. Document all patient care provided and contribute to team patient care planning and follow-up to achieve goals. 3.Conform to the established policies and procedures of the facility and SWDFC. 4.Perform patient care or other duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse or Unit Administrator. 2.6Job Description: Licensed Practical Nurse/ Licensed Vocational Nurse Function: The Licensed Practical Nurse/ Licensed Vocational Nurse performs patient care and related duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse or Unit Administrator. Notify the Charge Nurse regarding changes in the patient's condition. Document all patient care provided and contribute to team patient care planning and follow-up to achieve goals. 8.Conform to the established policies and procedures of the facility and RCP. 9.Perform patient care or other duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse or Unit Administrator.
