There is no call. Cases will involve everything but hearts and advanced peds or neonates. Most Cases will come on an outpatient basis.

This department covers a community hospital and a surgicenter, and privileges cover both. At the hospital they cover the usual mix of general, ortho, ENT, GYN, endoscopies, etc. They also have an increasing volume of thoracic, open heart, spine and robotic cases, which a locums would not have to be involved in unless they were interested. The surgicenter covers eye, endoscopy, small ortho and gyn procedures. They have a nice group of people with low turnover and it's a pleasant environment, and the day is usually fairly predictable.
