Patient population includes adult to geriatric patients with cardiac conditions including CHF, Rule out MI, post MI, new onset/Unstable Angina, Pericardial disease, Cardiac drug toxicity, suspected Pacemaker/ICD malfunction, Post ICD/Pacemaker insertion, Chest pain of suspected cardiac origin, A-fib, Syncope of suspected cardiac origin, treated/stable Aortic dissection, Pre/post Therapeutic Catheterization, Dysrhythmias and patients requiring administration of select continuous infusion of cardiac medications or oral drug therapy for Dysrhythmias. The unit also includes med/surg overflow. New graduate Nurses are welcome and will be trained to Telemetry including Cardiac Pharmacology and Pulmonary procedures.
