The CNS provides direct patient care and education to patients, families, students, and nursing staff. The CNS plans, coordinates, evaluates, and presents educational programs and services for Enloe health professionals, outside agencies and families of patients. EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:Minimum:Five years acute critical care nursing experience with an emphasis on Cardiovascular Surgery and/or Trauma nursing.Membership in a professional organization and attendance to conferences regarding critical care nursing LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:Minimum: Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing.Current California Board of Registered Nursing CNS certificateCurrent CPR recognitionACLSPALSCCRN Completion within 18 months:TNCC Desired:National Certification in areas of critical care (CCRN, MICN, CEN, ATCN, CNRN)American Heart Association BLS instructor card.American Heart Association ACLS instructor card.
