Permanent / Full Time RN ICU - Cardiovascular (CVICU) / (OHRU) in Lincoln, NE Permanent / Full Time Nights The Critical Care (CVICU) RN manages the care of patients with conditions including: acute cardiovascular disease, respiratory failure, and multi-system failure. Performs therapeutic nursing interventions consistent with the Critical Care Unit including: ACLS/PALS guidelines, dysrrhymia assessment and intervention, pre and postoperative care, airway and ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring and vasoactive medication administration, management of cardiac assistive devices, monitoring of neurological devices, and management of post trasplant patients. Provides direct care to approximately 1-3 patients based upon patient census, acuity, needs and the qualifications and competencies of nursing personnel available. The Registered Nurse is responsible for meeting patients' priority needs by assessing, participating in interdisciplinary care planning, providing and/or delegating care and evaluating patients' responses and progress toward clinical outcomes. The RN contributes to an efficient and effective work environment through activities including professional communication and documentation, preceptoring and/or resourcing of others. Requirements: Current RN licensure from the state of NE or approved compact state. Must provide evidence of certification and/or istruction for practice area as required by State or Federal standards/regulations. Experience in a ICU/CVICU is preferred. Regular Full Time Employment
