Permanent / Full Time RN Cath Lab in Boca Raton, FL Permanent / Full Time Days - BSN, ASN or Diploma required - American Heart Association ACLS - American Heart Association BLS - Current FL RN license - 1 to 2 years related experience required Provides patient care as part of a multi-disciplinary team based on national standards, and utilizing the nursing process. Appropriately and within the Nurse Practice Act and other regulating bodies delegates to and directs the care provided to the patient by the LPN, PCA and HUC. Participates in process improvement, professional education and committees and meetings to maintain competence and advance the mission and values of Boca Raton Community Hospital. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: IABP certification. Able to wear radiation protective lead aprons in excess of 8 hours while standing and walking. Demonstrated ability to circulate all diagnostic procedures done in the Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology Lab. Demonstrated ability to perform hemodynamic recording appropriate to procedure. Demonstrated ability to process cineagraphic film correctly. ACLS certification. Demonstrated ability to perform all ancillary procedures in the Cath Lab Holding area. Demonstrated ability to administer all pre and post Cath/EP patient care. Regular Full Time Employment

Permanent / Full Time Allied Cath Lab Technician in Boca Raton, FL Permanent / Full Time Days - American Heart Association ACLS - American Heart Association BLS - 1 to 2 years related experience required Principal Duties and Responsibilities (also known as Function/Outputs) include the following. Other duties may be assigned and all duties are subject to change: Sets up sterile surgical instruments and table. Assists physicians with sterile procedures. Records and maintains accurate pressure measurements and documentation of the procedure. Performs calculations of hemodynamic and physiological test results. Operates GE Advantx System: boot up, boot down, acquiring and storing images. Operates all equipment in the Cath Lab efficiently and accurately. Recognizes, records and reports all dysrhythmias accurately. Knows the proper use and function of catheters and guidewires. Able to operate and troubleshoot the Intra-aortic Balloon Pump. Able to troubleshoot equipment malfunction and notify the appropriate service. Knows principles of aseptic technique. Assists in maintaining inventory levels as assigned. Prepares Cath images for physician review. Assists with quality assurance checks on equipment as assigned. Assists in orienting new employees in the function of preceptor and assesses work performance. Initiates corrective action and follow-up. Responsible for emergency call. Participates in determining policies and procedures for the Cath Lab. Maintains calm and professional manner when dealing with patients, families, staff members and physicians. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness with equipment and environment. Works effectively with colleagues in the Cath Lab and throughout the hospital. Assists with cost containment. Assists in the evaluation of new products. Assists in the department's Performance Improvement program. Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A.S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations and other Credentials: RCIS or RT preferred. Regular Full Time Employment
