This is responsible management and supervisory work in a clinic providing a variety of health services. Under the general supervision of the Practice Manager the employee is responsible for the management of the office support functions necessary to the provision of health care. Supervision is exercised over reception, intake and medical records staff. The Office Manager may be in charge of the clinic in the Managers absence. Work requires individual to assist with methods used by others, to exercise ingenuity, to employ creative and analytical thinking, and to make judgments involving related and non-related variables. Work has a major impact on day-to-day operation of the clinic, with substantial responsibility for decision and final recommendations. Work is performed under general supervision and involves independence guided by administrative routines, requirements of others, and established schedules. Work is reviewed while in progress and by observation of results.
